Herbert Simpson, George L. <br />Hanbury, II,~City Manager, Ste~en.-Lieberman~ City Attorney <br /> <br /> 89-318 - A motion was adopted to convene the August 8th <br />meeting at 6:39 p~m., ~or-the purpose~of considering a.motion <br />to go into!'an ~xecutive. session. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr; :~awks andrseconded by Mr. Simpson, to go <br />into an Executive Session in accordance ~ith Section 2.1-344 of <br />the Code of Virginia to discuss the following: <br /> <br /> (1) Consideration of appointments to Boards and <br />Commissions by the~ity council as permitted under-subsection <br />(A) (1). : <br /> <br /> Motion adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> The meeting.r~-convened at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Simpson, <br />pursuant to Sectio~ 2.1-344.1 of the code of Virginia <br />certifying that to-the best of the Council Member's knowledge <br />during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City <br />Council: <br /> <br />only public business matters lawfully exempted <br />from open.meeting requiremenCs by the Virginia <br />of Information~Act, and <br /> <br />Freedom <br /> <br />Only such public business matters as were identified <br />in the motion by which the Executive meeting was <br />convenedy- <br /> <br />~ere heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />On motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED- <br /> <br /> ~ / Mayor <br /> <br />~ity Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
