Timothy Oksman give an update on <br />the Memorial for Fallen Heroes. <br /> <br />. City Attorney Oksman provided an update on the Memorial for Fallen Heroes. <br /> <br />10 - 66 - Report on Pending Items <br /> <br />. Bernadette Hogge, City Ombudsman, gave an update on items of concern <br />presented by citizens at the January 26, 2010 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br />10 - 67 - Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Reverend Joe Fleming, 475 Water Street, voiced his concern with an Alcohol <br />Beverage Control (ABC) store being built across the street from I. C. Norcom High <br />School. <br /> <br />2. Pat Simons, 801 Mimosa Road, voiced her concern for what she believes is a lack of <br />leadership within the City. <br /> <br />3. Vernon Crump, 4732 Mallard Crescent, voiced his concern with the land swap <br />between the City and Zion Baptist Church. <br /> <br />4. Kia Joyner, 3610 Bowden Street, asked for direction from City Council as to who she <br />could speak with regarding her house being built on wetlands. <br /> <br />5. Lieutenant Lee Cherry, 1108 Melvin Drive, offered an explanation to the allegations <br />that were brought to City Council by Larry Gump at the January 12, 2010 City <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br />7. Sheriff Watson, 701 Crawford Street, spoke on the lack of a response from the City <br />Manager's Office with regards to housing of federal inmates and a Memorandum of <br />Understanding that was sent in January. <br /> <br />8. R. M. Holley, 711 Crawford Street, voiced his concern with ttle possibility of the <br />Virginia Ports Authority renting its port facilities to private entities. <br /> <br />On motion, meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />Anita Y.
