On motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by Mr. Barnes, authorization was granted for the refunds, as requested, and was adopted by 6-0-1 (Hawks/Abstained) vote. Councilman Hawks abstained from the vote due:to'a relative being listed to receive a refund. - NEW BUSINESS ~9-398 Vice Mayor Gray offered the fcllowing nominations for appointment to the following Boards/Commissions: BOCA Fire Code Board of Appeals John E. Hall and William E. Kube to be repented for a term of two years, effective 10/1/89, Community Service Board Otis E. (Gene) Baldwin, appcinted to fill an term ending 6/30/90, replacing Dallas R. Overman. unexpired Enterprise Zone Advisory Harry T. Bonner and Harriett Devin, to be reappointed for a term of two years, effective 10/1/89. Supplemental Retirement Board Evelyn Sawyer to be reappointed for a term of four years, effective 10/1/89. Motion of Mrs. Lucas and seconded by' Mr. Simpson, to close the nominations and there being no further nominations, the above members were elected to the designated Boards/ Commissionsf and were adopted by unanimous vote.
