<br />Januarv 12. 2010 <br /> <br />Motion by Ms. Psi mas, and seconded by Mr. Moody, to concur with the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission that UP-09-16 be approved on first <br />reading, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Heretick, Moody, Psi mas, Randall, Smith, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />(b) UP-09-17 <br /> <br />TRUXTUN - George Manning requests a use permit for a duplex at <br />32 Noble Street. The Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map <br />recommends multi-family residential development. Vision Principle: <br />Thriving Neighborhoods and a Sense of Community. <br /> <br />There were no speakers. <br /> <br />Motion by Ms. Randall, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to concur with the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission that UP-09-17 be approved on first <br />reading, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Heretick, Moody, Psi mas, Randall, Smith, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />(c) CP-09-02 <br /> <br />CITYWIDE - The City of Portsmouth seeks approval of a <br />Master Transportation Plan that identifies transportations issues <br />and makes recommendations that will ensure the transportation <br />system supports local and regional transportation needs. The <br />Comprehensive Plan recommends that the City adequately <br />maintain infrastructure and develop action strategies that address <br />the needs of the City. Vision Principle: Bold New Directions. <br /> <br />1. Mark Geduldig-Yatrofsky, 2715 Sterling Point Drive, spoke in support of this item. <br /> <br />Motion by Ms. Psi mas, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to concur with the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission that CP-09-02 be approved on first <br />reading, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Heretick, Moody, Psi mas, Randall, Smith, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />(d) CA-09-08 <br /> <br />CITYWIDE - The City of Portsmouth seeks to comprehensively <br />amend Chapter 33 Subdivisions of the City Code. Vision Principle: <br />Bold New Directions. <br /> <br />There were no speakers. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Whitehurst, and seconded by Mr. Smith, to concur with the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission that CA-09-08 be approved on first <br />reading, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Heretick, Moody, Psi mas, Randall, Smith, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />- City Manager's Report - <br /> <br />10 - 16 - Adoption of an ordinance to accept a grant in the amount of $5,000 from the <br />Virginia Commission for the Arts and appropriating said sum in the FY 2009-2010 <br />Grants Fund for awards for the Seawall Art Show. Vision Principles: Lifelong Learning <br />Community and a Robust and Prospering Economy. <br />
