<br />1 .1 4 <br /> <br />December 8. 2009 <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Ms. Psimas, to close nominations, and <br />the above nominations were adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Heretick, Moody, Psimas, Randall, Smith, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />09 - 620 - Items Submitted by Council Members <br /> <br />~ Ms. Psi mas reminded citizens of the numerous Holiday events that will be taking <br />place within the City, December 11-13,2009. <br /> <br />09 - 621 - Report on Pending Items <br /> <br />. Bernadette Hogge, City Ombudsman, gave an update on items of concern <br />presented by citizens at the November 24,2009 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br />. Richard Hartman gave a timeline update on the bulkhead along Crawford Parkway. <br /> <br />09 - 622 - Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Tony Goodwin, 38 Linden Avenue, asked that the Portsmouth Redevelopment and <br />Housing Authority be held to the same standards as citizens with regards to <br />violations within the City. <br /> <br />2. Joseph Holt, 5801 Bertrand Street, asked that the City do a better job of maintaining <br />ditches in his neighborhood. <br /> <br />3. Coleman Young, 602 North Street, brought to City Council's attention various issues <br />with what he believes is a lack of information and knowledge by the City regarding <br />Medicare for retirees. <br /> <br />4. Sylvester Macklin, 3832 Augustine Circle, asked that streets be repaired and that the <br />City have synchronized traffic lights. <br /> <br />5. Fred Sanborn, 220 North Street, asked that sidewalks, in areas that are under <br />construction, be repaired in time for holiday events in Olde Towne. <br /> <br />6.
