She also announced that a mini parade of the Virginia International Tattoo <br />would take place 6 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2009 beginning at High Street Landing. <br /> <br />~ Ms. Randall asked that the City Manager provide a report on what activities are <br />available for the youth during the summer. <br /> <br />09 - 238 - Report on Pending Items <br /> <br />. City Manager Chandler informed citizens and City Council of the meet and greet <br />opportunity with the new Fire Chief Don Horton, Wednesday, May 6, 2009 from 5-7 <br />p.m. in the City Council Chamber. <br /> <br />. Bernadette Hogge, Ombudsman, gave an update on items of concern presented by <br />citizens at the April 14, 2009 City Council Meeting. <br /> <br />09 - 239 - Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Linda Ridenour, 313 Tareyton Lane, spoke in opposition to the proposed budget with <br />regards to the school system. <br /> <br />2. Mark Geduldig-Yatrofsky, 2713 Sterling Point Drive, voiced his disappointment in <br />City Council not opting to raise taxes to fund the police pay plan. <br /> <br />3. Pat Simons, 801 Mimosa Road, voiced her concern with the current real estate <br />assessments. <br /> <br />4. Ron Evans, 14 Chippewa Trail, spoke in opposition to the proposed real estate tax <br />rate. <br /> <br />5. Dr. David Stuckwisch, 1069 Estates Court, spoke in opposition to the proposed <br />budget with regards to the school system. <br /> <br />6.
