<br />and it~ citizens with distinction as a Vice Mayor, School Board
<br /> ~ ~resldent of tne Portsmouth ~eneral Hospital Board, and
<br />Member,
<br />leader 1~ civic and cultural activities; and
<br />
<br /> W~EREAS, he gave generously of his time and energy in the
<br />
<br /> minutes

<br /> W~EREAS, he was an avid photography enthusiast and authored a
<br />book e~tled "Portsmouth: A Pictorial History"; and

<br /> the stature he attained in the community by his
<br />exempl~ life and monumental achievements were well recognized
<br />during ~s lifetime; and
<br />
<br />W~EAS, the community has suffered a g~eaL loss in the
<br />passin~ ~f Robert W. Wentz, Jr. and joia with hi~ family, friends,
<br />and asi iates in mourning his death.

<br />N( T~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
<br /> h, Virginia, that the sympathy of this ~ody, a~tin~ for
<br />the cji ;ens of this City be, and hereby is, ext.=nded to the
<br />family the late Robert W. Wentz, Jr..

<br />BI FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolutioa be spread upon
