FY10/FY11 Budget Process Discussion Points · Budget calendar · Departmental requests · Projected revenues Motion by Mr. Smith, and seconded by Mr. Heretick, to go into Closed Meeting pursuant to provisions of Section 2.2-3711 (A)(1) of the Code of Virginia, to discuss appointments to boards and commissions and the performance of specific public officials. The subject matter of the meeting is to discuss appointments to boards and commissions and performance of specific public officials. The purpose of the meeting is to permit confidential discussion of candidates for appointment and the performance of specific public officials. The motion was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Moody, Heretick, Psimas, Randall, Smith, Whitehurst, Holley Nays: None Motion by Mr. Smith, and seconded by Mr. Moody, pursuant to Section 2.2-3712(0) of the Code of Virginia, certifying that to the best of the Council Members' knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City Council: 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and 2. Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion, by which the Closed Meeting was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
