June 11, 1991 <br /> <br /> The State Code, therefore, prevents you ~rom votin¢ <br />10th on this use permit because of the newspaper's fail <br />publish the initial notice in a timely fashion. Becaus <br />the June gOth meeting must be canceled. The City Clerk' <br />has directed the newspaper to publish notices to advi~e <br />of the ~ancellation of the June 10th meeting and the <br />Virgini~n~Pilot has been asked to do a story to also rem <br />public ~hat the regularly scheduled June 10th Public Hea <br />not be ~eld. <br /> <br /> Th applicant for this use permit has also been not <br />when given the choice of having this matter appear befor <br />first reading for June 25th or July 8th, the applican~ e <br />have this~matter brought before Council on June 25th. <br /> <br /> The City Attorney, therefore, recommends that the <br />resolution be adopted to accommodate this request. I co <br />this reeoi~mendation." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. King and seconded Mr. Epperson, the <br />resolution was adopted and by the following vote: <br /> <br />"A SPECIAL RESOLUTION CHANGING THE REGULARLY SCHE~U <br />CItY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING OF JUNE 10, 1991 TO JUN <br />25, 1991. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Por~s <br />Virginia, that the City Council Public Hearing previous <br />scheduled for June 10, 199] be rescheduled to June 25, <br />City Council Chambers beginning at 7:00 p.m. due to t~e <br />the Virginia Pilot-Ledger Star to publish the initial no <br />the previously scheduled hearing." <br /> <br />Ayes: Clemons, Corprew, Epperson, King, Hawks, Lucas, Me <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS - <br /> <br />91-2~4 - Boards and Commissions: <br /> <br /> Do~ores Wyatt, 99 Channing Avenue, spoke concerning <br />the appointments and reappointments to the School Board <br />commended the Council on their actions. <br /> <br /> Coln=ilman King offered Leah Stith for appointment <br />School ~oard. <br /> <br /> Councilman Epperson offered Warren D.
