October 22, 1991 <br /> <br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land, situate, <br />being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, being more p~ <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />Ail of Lot 9 ~s shown on that certain plat <br />entitled "Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing <br />Authority Urban Renewal Weaver Redevelopment <br />Project Boundary and Property!Line Map, City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia," dated January 17, 1967, <br />prepared by R. Kenneth Weeks, Engineers, said m~ <br />being recorded in the Cle~k's Office of the <br />Circuit Court Of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia; <br /> <br />Ail of that portion of Bart Street closed by <br />Ordinance No. 1968-32, adopted by the Council <br />the City of Portsmouth, Virginia on May 14~ 196~ <br /> <br />That portion of Lot 8 as shown on the <br />above-referenced plat of the Weaver Redevelopme~ <br />Project; <br /> <br />it being the intention of the City Council to c?nvey a ~ <br />land totaling one acre in area to the Portsmoutn Re~evel <br />Housing Authority. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, an <br />is, authorized to execute such deeds Or other documents <br />necessary to carry out the intent of this resolution." <br /> <br />Ayes: Clemons, Corprew, Epperson, King, Hawks, Luc <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> 91-373B Letter from the City Manager recommending <br />of a resolution dedicating a parcel of property in the <br />Redevelopment Project, VA. Calvary Bapt <br />for parking and future expansion purpgses, with the net <br />of the sa~e being returne~ to the Cit~ by PRHA. Also, t <br />portion of Thomas Circle will be re-opened as a public s <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Hawks and seconded by Mr. King, to ad <br />following resolution, and by the foll~wlng vote: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION DEDICATING A PARCEL OF PROPERTY IN THE WEA <br />REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, VA. R-40, AS AN EXTENSION OF THOM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of PortsmoUth is the owner of the <br />hereinafter-described property, located in the Weaver <br />Redevelopment Project, VA.
