October 22, 1991 All that certain piece or parcel of land, situate, being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, being more p~ described as follows: Ail of Lot 9 ~s shown on that certain plat entitled "Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority Urban Renewal Weaver Redevelopment Project Boundary and Property!Line Map, City of Portsmouth, Virginia," dated January 17, 1967, prepared by R. Kenneth Weeks, Engineers, said m~ being recorded in the Cle~k's Office of the Circuit Court Of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia; Ail of that portion of Bart Street closed by Ordinance No. 1968-32, adopted by the Council the City of Portsmouth, Virginia on May 14~ 196~ That portion of Lot 8 as shown on the above-referenced plat of the Weaver Redevelopme~ Project; it being the intention of the City Council to c?nvey a ~ land totaling one acre in area to the Portsmoutn Re~evel Housing Authority. R-40, AS AN EXTENSION OF THOM WHEREAS, the City of PortsmoUth is the owner of the hereinafter-described property, located in the Weaver Redevelopment Project, VA. R-40; and WHEREAS[ said property is a portion of the segment Circle which was closed as a public w~y of the City of P by Ordinance of the Council of the City of Portsmouth, V at a meeting held on May 14, 1968; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Portsmouth now to be in the best interest of the Cit~ to re-establisk a street a portion of the closed segmen~ of Thomas Circle.
