January 13, 1992 <br /> <br /> At the regular meeting of the City Council held on Monday, <br />~3!~, 199~, there were present: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor E. G. Corprew, Jr., <br />Johnny M. Clemons, John H~ Epperson, Lee EJ King, James C. <br />Hawks, Junius H. Williams, V. Wayne O~ton~i~ity Manager, Stuart <br />E. Katz, City Attorney <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Corprew opened the meeting with prayer, <br />followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br /> Mayor welcomed all visitors in attendance. <br /> 91-418 - Non Agenda Speak.ers] . ~ , ~ <br /> <br /> There were no non-agenda speakers. <br /> <br /> 91-419 - Public Hearing on rezoning <br />applications: <br /> <br />and use permit <br /> <br />(A) UP-91-23 OLDE TOWNE NEIGHBORHOOD - Use permit application <br /> of Michele L. Bordelon & J. Michael Keating for <br /> a bed and breakfast inn at 415 North Street and <br /> further described as Tax Map 8, Parcel 18. <br /> <br /> J. Michael K~ating, 415 NOrth Street, representing himself <br />spoke on the bed and breakfast and the advantages of adding <br />another room. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. King and seconded by Mr. Epperson, to concur <br />with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that <br />UP-91-23 be approved on first reading and was approved by a 7-0 <br />vote. ~:'~ ~ <br /> <br />(B) Z-92-2 <br /> <br />WEST NORFOLK NEIGHBORHOOD - Rezoning application <br />of the Portsmouth Port and Industrial <br />Commission, by Matthew James, Director of <br />Economic Development, for the City of <br />Portsmouth, for property at 3501 Lombardy Avenue <br />and further described as Tax Map 706, Parcel 1; <br />fro~ Planned Of~fice Park POP, to Industrial M-1-K <br />Conditional. The property is designated for <br />Industrial use in the City's Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Clemons and seconded bY Mr. Epperson, the <br />application was deferred to the meeting of February 10, 1992 <br />and by an unanimous vote of 7-0. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVED <br /> <br /> <br />
