January 14, 1992 <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the City Manager be, and he <br />hereby is, authorized to execute any and all such documents as <br />may be necessary to abandon the interest of the City of <br />Portsmouth in the drainage easement described as follows, <br />to-wit: <br /> <br /> Ail that certain easement for drainage, situate in the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, as is dedicated, shown, set forth <br />and located on lot 52 on that certain plat of the Subdivision <br />into lots known as South Fairview Heights, which said plat is <br /> <br />duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of <br />Chesapeake in'Map Book 36' at page 31." <br /> <br />Ayes: Clemons, Corprew, Epperson, King, <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />the Circuit Court of <br /> <br />Hawks, W~i,tti~m.s, Webb <br /> <br /> 92-22 Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption <br />of a motion transferring $18,000 from the Grants. Contingency <br />Account to continue the Portsmouth Parents, Agencies and <br />Children Together (PPACT) program for the purpose of planning <br />activities for services to disabled infants, t~ddl~r~ and their <br />families. ~ <br /> <br /> "I have been informed by the Executive Director of the <br />Community Services Board that they have received approval of an <br />additional grant of $18,000, This represents continuation of <br />funding for the fourth year to support'the activit~es~of the <br />Portsmouth Parents And Children Together ~(PPAC~) program. <br /> <br /> PPACT ~s an inter-agency planning council, coordinated <br />through the Community Services Board, to develop a p~an to <br />identify and serve disabled infants, toddlers and ~heir <br />families. Virginia is in the fourth y~ar of a fiv~ ~ear <br />planning cycle at the end of which a decision will be made by <br />the State o~ whether to come under the federal ~ent~t~ement <br />program for these services. ~- <br /> <br /> These funds derive from a federal grant to the State, and <br />no local match is required.
