Balek, Operations Manager, representing <br />Virginia Iron & Metal Recycling, Inc., 2401 Turnpike Road, <br />spoke in support of the rezoning and use permit applications. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Hawks and seconded by Mr. King to concur <br />with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that <br />UP-92-02 be approved on first reading~ and with an additional <br />condition that there will be restrictions retail sales on~ the <br />site was adopted by unanimous vote. ~ <br /> <br />(d) CA-91-05 <br /> <br />Zoning Ordinance Amendment - Request by Matthew <br />James, Director of Economic Development, to <br />amend Chapter 40 Of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth (the zoning ordinance) pertaining to <br />general regulations applicable to' all signs <br />maximum advertising display areas. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Epperson and seconded by Mr. Corprew, <br />CA-91-05 be approved on first reading and was adopted by <br />unanimous vote. <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />On motion meeting was adjourned <br /> <br />at 7:49 p.m. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />*Councilman Clemons was attending National League of <br />Cities Conference, in Washington, DC. <br /> <br /> <br />
