Clemons <br /> <br />92-85 - NON-AGENDA SPEAKERS <br /> <br />There were no non-agenda speakers. <br /> <br />92-86 - Public Hearing o~ rezoning and use permit <br /> applications and a proposed amendment to Chapter <br /> to the City Code (Zoning Ordinance): <br /> <br />40 <br /> <br /> (a) Z-92-03 BRIGHTON/PRENTIS PARK NEIGHBORHOOD - Rezoning <br /> application of the City Planning Commission, by <br /> Director of Planning Norman Whitaker, to rezone <br /> the following seven parcels of property.- (1) A <br /> parcel on George Washington Highway near Elm <br /> Avenue and described as Tax Map 77, Parcel 13; <br /> from Residential RS-75 to Commercial C-2. (2) A <br /> parcel at 1900 Elm Avenue and described as Tax Map <br /> 87, Parcel 148; from Residential RS-60 to <br /> Commercial C-1. (3) A parcel in the 1200 block of <br /> Wirt Avenue near George Washington Highway and <br /> described as Tax Map 95, Parcel 85; from <br /> Residential RS-75 to Commercial C-2. (4) A parcel <br /> in the 1200 block of Wirt Avenue near George <br /> Washington Highway and described as Tax Map 95, <br /> Parcel 86; from Residential RS-75 to Commercial <br /> C-2. NOTE: Approval of this <br /> application would correct mistakes in a previous <br /> rezoning study. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Epperson and seconded by Mr. King, to concur <br /> with with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that <br /> Z-92-03 be approved on first reading and was adopted by unanimous <br /> vote. <br /> <br /> (b) Z-92-05 UPTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD - Rezoning application of <br /> ~i~-~al Recycling, Inc., bT Deborah <br /> S. Balek, Operations Manager, for property at 500 <br /> Confederate Avenue. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Hawks and seconded by Mr. King, to concur with <br /> the recommendation of the Planning Commission that Z-92-(15 be <br />_ approved on first reading and was adopted by unanimous v(,te. <br /> <br /> (c) UP-92-02 UPTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD - Use permit applicat.ion of <br /> Virginia Iron & Metal Recycling, Inc., b~' Deborah <br /> S.
