Norcom High School. <br /> <br />'" Mayor Holley voiced his concern with skateboarders in the downtown area and <br />asked that City Attorney Oksman look at the City Code to see how this problem can <br />be addressed. <br /> <br />'" Ms. Psi mas also voiced her concern with the skateboarders in the downtown area <br />and also reminded citizens of the skateboard park that is being constructed. <br /> <br />07 - 372- Report on Pending Items <br /> <br />. Deputy City Manager Patton provided Council with a report on the trees In the <br />Midtown Corridor. <br /> <br />07 - 373 - Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Joe Wright, 1451 Welcome Road, asked that Council implement a compensation <br />plan for the Police Department rather than do another study. <br /> <br />2. Jason Knorowski, 3801 Magnolia Drive, asked that the Police Department be <br />compensated fairly with salaries that are comparable to other cities in Hampton <br />Roads. <br /> <br />3. Stephenie Love, 1620 Ann Street, as a member of the Neighborhood Quality <br />Taskforce, reported on the program implemented to register vacant houses in <br />Portsmouth. <br /> <br />4. Kerry Messer, 400 Court Street, as a member of the Neighborhood Quality <br />Taskforce, also reported on the program implemented to register vacant houses in <br />Portsmouth. <br /> <br />5. Brian Campbell, 1036 Naval Avenue, as a member of the Neighborhood Quality <br />Taskforce, informed Council of the National Vacant Housing Convention in <br />Pittsburgh. He also asked if it were possible for this taskforce to meet with Council <br />to give an update on what was learned at the convention. <br /> <br />6. Martha Ann Creecy, 317 Dinwiddie Street, as a member of the Neighborhood Quality <br />Task Force, informed Council on the amount of work that has gone into <br />implementing this program to register vacant houses. <br /> <br />7. Tony Goodwin, 728 Hamilton Avenue, voiced his concern with the parking at the <br />proposed site of the new courthouse complex. <br />
