July 10. 2007 (f) HP-07-06 NEWPORT - L. M. Sandler and Sons, Inc. requests a housing permit to develop 184 townhouse-style homes in conjunction with the New Port Housing development. Smith, to concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that HP-07 -06 be approved on first reading, and was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Heretick, Psi mas, R. Smith, D. Smith, Holley Nays: None (g) HP-07-07 RIVER POINTE - Gee's Group Development Corporation requests a housing permit to develop a 147 single-family and duplex-style condominium units on a 22.5 acre parcel located at the corner of River Pointe Parkway and West Norfolk Road. Smith, Holley Nays: None - City Manager's Report - 07 - 313 - Adoption of an ordinance accepting a grant in the amount of $25,000 from the Business Consortium for the Arts and appropriating said sum in the FY 2007-2008 Grants Fund for use by the Department of Museums for exhibits and programming at the Courthouse Galleries. Background: . Each year the Courthouse Galleries applies to the Business Consortium for Arts Support for a general operating support grant. Discussion: . The funds are utilized for the operating support of exhibits and programs at the Courthouse Galleries. Financial Impact: . There is no financial impact on the City of Portsmouth.
