<br />June 12. 2007 <br /> <br />At a Regular Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 there were <br />present: <br /> <br />*Mayor James W. Holley III, Vice Mayor Marlene W. Randall, William E. Moody, Jr., <br />Elizabeth M. Psi mas, Ray A. Smith, Sr., Douglas L. Smith, City Manager James B. <br />Oliver, Jr., City Attorney G. Timothy Oksman. <br /> <br />Councilman William E. Moody, Jr. opened the meeting with prayer, which was <br />followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Mayor Holley called the meeting to order and welcomed all in attendance. <br /> <br />Motion by Ms. Randall, and seconded by Mr. Moody, to approve the minutes of a <br />Called Meeting on May 22, 2007, and a Regular Meeting of May 22, 2007, and was <br />adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Moody, Psimas, Randall, D. Smith, R. Smith, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />'" Councilman Ray Smith informed citizens that Lincoln Properties had been <br />selected to develop the Holiday Inn site. <br /> <br />- Public Hearing - <br /> <br />07 - 262 - Rezoning and use permit applications: <br /> <br />(a) Z-07-07 <br /> <br />WEST GROVE I MAPLE SHADE - Joe O. Vinson requests the <br />rezoning of 1401 and 2218 Mascott Street from General <br />Commercial C-2, to Residential Multifamily Conditional, RM-60-K, <br />and 533 Lenora Avenue from Residential Multifamily, RM-60, to <br />Residential Multifamily Conditional, RM-60-K. Vision Principle: <br />Thriving Neighborhoods and a Sense of Community. <br /> <br />1. Kirk Berkeley, 500 London Street, spoke in support of this item. <br /> <br />Motion by Ms. Psimas, and seconded by Mr. D. Smith, to concur with the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission that Z-07-07 be approved on first reading, <br />and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Moody, Psimas, Randall, R. Smith, D. Smith, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />(b) Z-07-08 <br /> <br />DOWNTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD - GS Developers, LLC, request <br />the rezoning of 711 Washington Street from Downtown, D-1 <br />Residential, to Downtown, D-1 Mixed-Use, in order to develop a <br />mixed-used building with office space and one (1) residential unit. <br />Vision Principle: Thriving Neighborhoods and a Sense of <br />Community. <br /> <br />1. Terry Danaher, 413 Dinwiddie Street, spoke in support of this item. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Ms. Randall, to concur with the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission that Z-07-08 be approved on first reading, <br />and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Moody, Psimas, Randall, R.
