The sums of $29,899,097 in the Capital Improvement Fund and $16,727,000 in <br />the Public Utilities Capital Improvement Fund is appropriated for expenditures in the <br />following categories and amounts: <br />o Capital Improvement Fund: <br />· Drainage and Street Improvements <br />· Education <br />· Industrial and Economic Developments <br />· Leisure Services <br />· Municipal Facilities <br />o Total Capital Improvement Fund <br />o Public Utilities Capital Improvement Fund <br /> <br />$ 6,049,628 <br />$ 6,161,469 <br />$ 10,350,000 <br />$ 880,000 <br />$ 6,458,000 <br />$ 29,899,097 <br />$ 16,727,000 <br /> <br />Staff Recommends: <br />Adoption of proposed ordinance. Vision Principles: Bold New Directions, World Class <br />Maritime Center, Thriving Neighborhoods and a Sense of Community, A Robust and <br />Prospering Economy, Lifelong Learning Community, and Pride of Past Promise of <br />Future. <br /> <br />Next Steps Following Council Action: <br />. The City Manager has ultimate responsibility and authority for the implementation <br />of the Capital Improvement Program. The Chief Financial Officer has day-to-day <br />responsibility for ensuring the CIP is spent as appropriated by City Council. <br /> <br />Motion by Ms. Psi mas, and seconded by Mr. Heretick, to adopt the following <br />ordinance, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />"ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $29,899,097 IN THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />FUND AND $16,727,000 IN THE PUBLIC UTILITIES CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />FUND." <br /> <br />Ayes: Heretick, Moody, Psi mas, Randall, D. Smith, R. Smith, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />07 - 197 - Adoption of four proposed ordinances to amend and increase the FY 2006- <br />2007 Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) through supplemental <br />appropriation. Vision Principle: A Robust and Prospering Economy. <br /> <br />(1) Adoption of an ordinance appropriating $8,118,123 in the FY 2006-2007 General <br />Fund Operating Budget for various additional operating expenditures, including <br />operating transfers to the Social Services and Comprehensive Services Funds, with <br />funding to be provided from additional revenue collections. <br /> <br />(2) An ordinance appropriating 1,809,406 in the FY 2006-2007 Social Services Fund <br />Operating Budget for eligibility and service administration and other program <br />expenditures with funding to be provided by an operating transfer from the General <br />Fund. <br /> <br />(3) An ordinance appropriating $996,610 in the FY 2006-2007 Comprehensive <br />Services Fund Operating Budget for therapeutic foster care, special education, <br />Medicaid, and other prevention program expenditures with funding to be provided by an <br />operating transfer from the General Fund. <br /> <br />(4) An ordinance appropriating $455,000 in the FY 2006-2007 Capital Projects Fund <br />Budget within the CIP for additional First College educational capital project <br />expenditures with funding to be provided by interest earnings on educational bond sale <br />proceed investments. <br />
