Smith, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />07 - 196 - Adoption of an ordinance to appropriate $29,899,097 in the Capital <br />Improvement Fund and $16,727,000 in the Public Utilities Capital Improvement Fund for <br />the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 2007 and ending June 30, 2008. Vision Principles: <br />Bold New Directions, World Class Maritime Center, Thriving Neighborhoods and a <br />Sense of Community, A Robust and Prospering Economy, Lifelong Learning <br />Community, and Pride of Past Promise of Future. <br /> <br />Background: <br />. The City Manager presented the Proposed Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for <br />2008 through 2012, and the funding for year one appropriating the necessary funds in <br />the Capital Improvement Fund and the Public Utilities Capital Improvement Fund. <br /> <br />Discussion: <br />. Public hearings have been held on April 10 and April 17, 2007 to receive public <br />comments on the five-year CIP, and on funding for year one of the CIP. <br />. Years 2009 through 2012 of the CIP are un-appropriated years used for long- <br />term planning purposes and are approved as planning years. <br />
