<br />[rmanship of several committees including, but
<br />~ involving sailing events, Volunteer Downtown
<br />fts Authority of Hampton Roads and the Seawall
<br />is also a six year member of the PortsEvents Board
<br />President in 1991; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, for more than twenty years, Mr. Whitlow has given
<br />unselfishly of his time, energy and other resources to provide and
<br />promote activities for the citizens of ~he City of Portsmouth; and
<br />
<br /> ~EREAS, Mr. Whitlow's efforts have contributed to a positive
<br />PortSmouth image.
<br />
<br /> NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
<br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that the Council does hereby acknowledge
<br />achievements of Mr. Morton V. "Mo" Whitlow and his receipt of the
<br />First Citizen Award for 1992.
<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
<br />spread upon the minutes of this Council and that a copy be
<br />presented to Mr. whitlow in recognition of his achievements."
