May It, 1993 <br /> <br /> (d) An ordinance amending the E-9it section of the City Code <br />by incorporating new language on use of the funds recently adopted <br />by the General Assembly as well as increasing the fee from $0.22 <br />to $0.50 per month. <br /> (e) An ordihance establishing~ the rate ~for water at $1.85 per <br />1,000 gallons. T~is is an increase from the current rate of $1.80. <br />In addition, the rates for water sold to Chesapeake and Suffolk as <br />well as direct S~ffolk customers are adjusted accordingly. Also <br />included is an ordinance to increase the water meter charge for <br />5/8" and 3/4" me,ers from $2.50 to $3.25 and from $3.75 to $4.25 <br />respectivelv. T~ese rates will still rank our fees the lowest in <br />the area. - <br /> <br /> (f) An ordl~ance establishing the rate for sewage maintenance <br />fee at $1.0694 p~r 1,000 gallons. The <br />fee will <br /> tncrea~e~ from $t0 ~o 815 per animal. <br /> (j) An ordl ance amending certain Witlett Hall fees. The fee <br />for rentals of Willett Hall will increase from $450 to $475. <br /> <br /> (k) An ordigance amending certain police departmental fees <br />pertaining to co~ying of records <br />weapon permits. -' fingerprint cards and concealed <br /> [i) An ordinance establishing the ~eal estate tax freeze <br />program for senior citizens and~disabled persons who meet certain <br />income/net worth requirements. <br /> <br /> (m) An ordinance adopting the revised Classification and Pay <br />Plan. This ordinance contains a two percent general wage pay <br />increase for all classified and appointed employees who are <br />included in the ~lan. It also includes the re-establishment of <br />the in-grade progress!on (anniversary step) program that was <br />suspended for the FY 1993 budget. <br /> <br /> The proposed appropriations and tax ordinances as well as the <br />other budget companion ordinances listedl above are submitted for <br />your review in o~der to provide you wit~ the overall actions that <br />will ~e necessary to implement the budgeit as recommended.
