Palmer, 1717 A Street, spoke in opposition of tax <br />rate change to the (E-911) Emergency Telephone System, and to <br />proposed refuse changes and water meter charges. <br /> <br /> 93-189 - Public Hearing on a proposed change to the public <br />utility rates. <br /> <br /> 93-190 - Public Hearing to consider the creation of a <br />classification for freight forwarding companies for purposes of <br />business license taxation. <br /> <br />- CITY MANAGER'S REPORT - <br /> <br /> 93-191 - Letter from the City Manager recommending adoption <br />of appropriationt tax and other companion ordinances to fully <br />enact the Operating Budget for the fiscal year beginning <br />July 1, 1993 and ending June 30, 1994. <br /> <br /> ¢"Submitted herewith for your consideration are the ~otlowing <br />ordinances which are being recommended in conjunction.with my <br />proposed Annual Operating Budget for the 1993-94 fiscal year: <br /> (a) The appropriations ordinance for the Operating Budget <br />for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1993, and ending June 30, <br />1994. This ordinance reflects the budget as I have recommended <br />and which has been previously presented and submitted for your <br />review. ; <br /> <br /> (b) An ordinance re-enacting the current tax. rat;es on r~at <br />estate, tangible personal property, privately owned pleasure <br />boats. It includes the proposed $0.25 increase, from $2.25 to <br />$2.50, for machinery and tools. The ordinance also implements <br />a new section for privately owned camping trailers and motor <br />homes with a tax rate of $1.50 per $100 of assessed value. <br /> (c) An ordinance amending the rates for cigarette tax. <br /> The rate will increase from $0.20 to $0.25 per pack. <br /> <br /> <br />
