September.13, 1993 <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. King, and seconded by Mr. Hawks, to concur <br />with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that Z-93-14 <br />be approved on first reading, and was adopted by a vote of <br />6-0-1 (Epperson) <br /> <br /> (c) Z-93-15 ACADEMY PARK (FAIRWOOD HOMES) NEIGHBOP~HOOD <br /> Rezoning application of the City of Portsmouth <br /> to rezone property generally located between <br /> McLean Street and Dekalb Avenue, extending south <br /> from Elliott Avenue to Greenwood Drive, also <br /> included is property'located between Dekalb <br /> Avenue and Greenwood Drive extending east from <br /> Independence Street to Bide-A-Wee Lane, from <br /> Residential RM=60 to Residential RM-75, and <br /> Commercial C-1 to Commercial C-2. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. King, and seconded by Mr. Epperson, to <br />concur with the reco=~endation of the Planning Commission that <br />Z-93-15 be approved on first reading, and was adopted by <br /> <br />unanimous vote. <br /> <br />93-343 Public Hearing on rezonmng, <br />housing project applications: <br /> <br /> (a) Z-93-12 <br /> <br />use permit and group <br /> <br />MOUNT HERMON NEIGHBORHOOD - Rezoning application <br />of the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing <br />Authority to rezone property at 1402 Hamilton <br />Avenue, from Residential RS-75 to Commercial <br />C-2 -K. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Clemons, and seconded by Mr. Hawks, to <br />concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that <br />Z-93-12 be approved on first reading and by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> (b) Z-93-13 HATTONSVILLE NEIGHBORHOOD - Rezoning application <br /> of Shared Hospital Services to rezone property <br /> at 3530 Elmhurst Lane, from Industrial M-1 to <br /> Industrial M-2-K. <br /> <br />David Tynch, 3502 Cardinal Lane, spoke on behalf of <br /> applicant in favor of the rezoning. <br /> <br />Barbara M. Wrenn, 1001 E. Main Street, <br /> information on the applicant. <br /> <br /> the <br />Richmond, VA, provided <br />provided information on <br /> <br />Paul A. Rossiter, 3530 Elmhurst Lane, the applicant. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Epperson, and seconded by Mr. Hawks, to <br />concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that <br />Z-93-13 be approved on first reading and was adopted by a vote <br />of 6-1 (Clemons). <br /> <br /> (c) UP-93-10 HATTONSVILLE NEIGHBORHOOD - Use permit <br /> application of Shared Hospital Services for a <br /> re~u/lated waste recycling facility at 3530 <br /> Elmhurst Lane. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Griffin, to <br />concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that <br />UP-93-10 be approved on first reading and was adopted by a vote <br />of 6-1 (Clemons). <br /> (d) GHP-93-04 CHURCHLAND NEIGHBORHOOD - Request of The <br /> Creative Group, Inc. for a group housing project <br /> for 38 townhouse units at Candlelight Lane and <br /> Lantern Way. <br /> <br /> <br />
