December 13, 1993 255 At the PubliciHearing Meeting of the City CoUncil held on MondaY, Decembe~ 13, 1993, there Were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor Lee E. King, Johnny M. Clemons, John H. Epperson, Bernard D, Griffin, James C. Hawks, Cameron C. Pitts, V, Wayne Orton, City Manager, Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney. Vice Mayor King opened the meeting with prayer which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The Mayor called the meeting to order and welcomed all in attendance. 93-472 Public Hearing on a rezon~ng and use permit application: (a) Z-93-17 WATERVIEW NEIGHBORHOOD -Rezoning application of Maryview Hospital to rezone property at 3636 High Street from Office Residential OR-75-K and Residential Multi-family RM-75 to Planned Office Park POP-K (qonditional). David Tynch, 3502 Cardinal Lane, spoke in favor of the application. I Michael Matthews, Jr., 1387 Gristmill Drive, Charlottesville, VA, architect for applicant, Iprovided structural information. Motion by Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to concur with the recommendation of the Rlanning~ommission that Z-93-17 be approved ~n first reading ~nd was adopted by a v?te of 5-0-2 (Mayo~ Webb abstained due to ~er husband's asso~iatlon with Maryvaew Hospital and Councilman Epperson abstamned since Maryview Hospital is a clientI of his firm.) (b) UP-93-12 WATERVIEW NEIGHBORHOOD - Use permit application of Ronald D. ~leXander for a wholesale license at 3550 Western Branch Boulevard. Motion by Mr. Pitts, andl seconded by Mr. Epperson, to concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that UP-93-12 be approved on firstl reading and was adopted by a vote of 6-0-1 ( Councilman Hawks abstained since Mr. Alexander is a client of his firm) - UNFINISHED BUSINESS - 93-428 Public Hearing on a r~zoning application: (a} Z-93-16 F~ATTONSVILLE NEIGHBORHOOD - Rezoning application of stanley G.
