Councilman Heretick wanted to make Council aware of a notification from the <br />Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) informing the City that a <br />seat would be lost due to a decrease in the cities population and voiced his <br />concerns regarding the matter. His concerns stem from the important role <br />HRPDC has in making decisions, mainly, with regards to transportation planning <br />in the region and the effect a decrease in one seat would have on Portsmouth. <br /> <br />.... Councilwoman Randall made Council aware of a report that puts into place <br />interventions for our youth, providing them with wholesome recreational activities <br />and lunches during the summer and asked that this information be shown on <br />Channel 48. <br /> <br />05 - 296 - Report on Pending Items <br /> <br />.... John Rowe gave an update on what has been done to solve the problem of <br />inspection issues on the weekend. <br /> <br />05 - 297 - Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Katherine M. Dolloff, 1043 Naval Avenue, wanted to rebut accusations made at a <br />previous Council meeting with regards to code violations at 1043 Naval Avenue. <br /> <br />2. Mark Geduldig-Yatrofsky, 363 Middle Street, gave suggestions on ways the <br />Council could simplify operations with regards to the City Council rules when they <br />are reviewed July 1, 2005. <br /> <br />3.
