Februar~ 13, 2001 <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to <br />execute such deeds, plats and other documents necessary to effect the exchange of <br />properties between the City and the Commonwealth of Virginia as may be required, and <br />to require such deeds and documents to contain such other provisions as he may deem <br />appropriate and in the best interest of the City of Portsmouth." <br /> <br />Ayes: Benn, Griffin, Moody, Pitts, Robinett, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />01 - 52 - Adoption of a motion to transfer $83,562 from the Grants Contingency Account <br />for the Support Training Education Program (STEP) on Violence Against Women. <br /> <br />This is the fifth year of a five-year grant. The local cash match is $11,177 with an <br />in-kind match of $10,511. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Whitehurst, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, to transfer $83,562 <br />from the Grants Contingency Account for the Support Training Education Program <br />(STEP) on Violence Against Women, and was adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes: Benn, Griffin, Moody, Pitts, Robinett, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />- New Business - <br /> <br />01 - 53 - Mr. Griffin offered the following nominations for the following Boards and <br />Commissions: <br /> <br />PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> <br />Bobby G. Bracy to be appointed for a three year term ending June 30, 2003, replacing <br />Sherman Holland III. <br /> <br />MUSEUM-FINE ARTS COMMISSION <br /> <br />Mary E. Bartley to be appointed to fill an unexpired term ending October 31, 2002, <br />replacing Joyce R. Cooke. <br /> <br />COMMISSION OF ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW - CRADOCK/OLDE TOWNE/ <br /> <br />TRUXTON <br /> <br />Clyde Nixon to be appointed to fill an unexpired term ending April 30, 2003, replacing <br />Billie M. Cook. <br /> <br />CLEAN COMMUNITY COMMISSION <br /> <br />Eleanor E. Thompson to be appointed to fill an unexpired term ending June 30, 2003, <br />replacing Scott McClane. <br /> <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ADVISORY COMMISSION <br /> <br />C. Jane Dresselhaus to be appointed to fill an unexpired term ending July 31, 2002, <br />replacing William Kube. <br /> <br />WETLAND BOARDS <br /> <br />Doreen Thompson to be apppointed to fill an unexpired term ending May 31,2004, <br />replacing Louis L.
