February ~, I994 At the Public Hearing Meeting of the City Council held on Monday, February 7, 1994, there were present: Mayor Gloria O. Webb, Vice Mayor Lee E. King, Johnny M. Clemons, John H. Epperson, Bernard D. Griffin, James C. Hawks, C~meron C. Pitts, V. Wayne Orton, City Manager, Stuart E. Katz, City Attorney. Vice Mayor King opened the meeting with prayer which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The Mayor called the meeting to order and welcomed all in attendance. 94-39 Public Hearing on a use permit and group housing project application: (a) UP-94-02 CRADOCK NEIGHBORHOOD - Request for modifications to the elevation and site plan of a previously approved use permit application of the HER organization for a residential care facility. Greg Dodd, 164 S. George Washington Highway, representing the applicant, provided structural information. Motion by Mr. Epperson, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, to concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that UP-94-02 be approved on first reading and was adopted by unanimous vote. (b) GHP-94-01 SOUTHAMPTON NEIGHBORHOOD - Group housing project application of Herbert G. Drier for four residential townhouse units at 5645 Parish Lane. Motion by Mr. King, and seconded by Mr. Epperson, to concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission GHP-94-01 be approved on first reading and was adopted by unanimous vote. that - UNFINISHED BUSINESS 93-428 - Public Hearing on a code ~unendment: (b) CA-93-04 CODE AMENDMENT - A proposed code ~unendment changing the use permit requirements for adult entertainment, theaters, bookstores, nightclubs, and similar uses. Deferred from the Public Hearing of November 8, 1993. Motion by Mr. King, and seconded by Mr. Griffin, that CA-93-04 be deferred until the Public Hearing meeting on April 11, 1994, and was approved by unanimous vote.
