October 12, 2004 1 27 <br />04 - 401 - Report on Pending Items <br />Dr. Patton reported on §60 Mount Vernon Avenue. <br />04 - 402 - Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Ann Bremer, 256 Constitution Avenue, President, Shea Terrace Civic League, spoke <br /> in support of the work at 660 Mount Vernon Avenue. <br /> <br />2. Cindy Smiley, 104 Sandpiper Drive, advised that all building permits and inspections <br /> for work at 660 Mount Vernon Avenue, were handled properly. <br /> <br />3. Thom White, 654 Mount Vernon Avenue, spoke on people working at 660 Mount <br /> Vernon Avenue after dark. Also, he expressed concerns about the second story and <br /> thanked the City for the report on the property. <br /> <br />4. John Lifsey, 229 Mount Vernon Avenue, President, Port Norfolk Civic League, spoke <br /> concerning how the property at 660 Mount Vernon Avenue was handled by the City. <br /> Also, he expressed concern about parking in the historic district, the dollar figure <br /> used as the basis of the building permit, and requested greater oversight by Zoning <br /> and Planning in the future. <br /> <br />5. David Chance, 646 Mount Vernon Avenue, spoke on not being able to get a <br /> response from the Building Official, and expressed concerns over the figures used <br /> as the basis of the building permit at 660 Mount Vernon Avenue. <br /> <br />6. Shannon Chance, 646 Mount Vernon Avenue, spoke on code violations, weak <br /> building codes, and concerns about the property at 660 Mount Vernon Avenue. <br /> <br />7. Lewis Thomas, 131 Florida Avenue, spoke on dollar figures provided as the basis of <br /> the building permit at 660 Mount Vernon Avenue. <br /> <br />8. Helen Person, 600 Rutter Street, Apt B., spoke on benches at High and Effingham <br /> Streets and mailboxes in Westbury. <br /> <br />9. Martha Ann Creecy, 317 Dinwiddie Street, spoke on code enforcement and building <br /> codes, and expressed concern about a particular stop-work order that she learned <br /> expired after a year. <br /> <br /> On motion, meeting adjourned at 8:23 p.m. <br /> <br />Minutes prepa rej;~H~'y~ <br /> <br />Victor H.
