February 22, 1994 <br /> <br /> - NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth; Virginia~ that the Capital Improvement Plan <br />adopted on November 10, 1992, is not changed by this resolution <br />save and except that unless the City Council determines that the <br />Harry Hunt Jr. High School site presents an acceptable risk for <br />construction of a new I. C. Norcom High School, then the City <br />Council will release the funds from the Harry Hunt Jr. High <br />School site and will investigate all other possible sites within <br />the City of Portsmouth, for the construction of a new i. C. <br />Norcom High School. <br /> <br /> FURTHER, let it be resolved that the City Council requests <br />the Planning Commission begin concurrent investigation to <br />establish alternate suitable sites on the east side of the <br />Churchland Bridge." <br /> <br />Ayes: Clemons, Epperson, Griffin, King, Pitts, Webb <br />Nays: Hawks <br /> <br />94-71 Receipt of Other Communications <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Griffin, and seconded by Mr. Hawks, to <br />endorse the WAVY-TV program "Goods for Guns" and was approved by <br /> <br />94-72 - Continued Non-Agenda Speakers <br /> <br />1. Charlie Riddick, 718 Henry Street, spoke on the ABEX <br />Superfund site. <br /> <br />2. Tyrone Riddick, 1720 Green Street, spoke on the ABEX <br />Superfund site. <br /> <br />3. Gloria Ford, 5742 Rivermill Circle, spoke on lead in <br />Washington Park. <br /> <br />4.
