Shackelford, 2437 Sterling Point Drive, spoke in support of funding fo <br /> schools. <br /> <br /> 04 - 209 - Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to go into Close( <br /> Meeting pursuant to provisions of Section 2.2-3711(A)(1) of the Code of Virginia, t( <br /> discuss or consider the following: <br /> <br /> personnel matters. <br /> <br /> The subject matter of the meeting includes the performance of individual pubii( <br />~ffici~iS ~f the City. <br /> <br /> The purpose of the meeting is to permit confidential discussion of matters whic[ <br /> are inappropriate for public discussion. <br /> <br /> The motion was adopted by unar~imous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, pursuant to Sectio <br /> 2.2-3712(D) of the Code of Virginia, certifying that to the best of the Council Members <br /> knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City Council: <br /> <br /> 1. Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meetin <br /> requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information, Act, and <br /> <br /> 2.
