March 7, 1994 (d) CA-94-01 CITY.CODE AMENDMENT ~ Request of the City Planning Commission to amend the following sections and tables of the Zoning Ordinance: Section 40-2 pertaining to the legislative intent of the ordinance; Section 40-22 proposing a definition for plot width; Tables 40-43.1-1, 2, and 3 pertaining to'correcting the S.I.C. nuaubers for Family and Social Services and CommUnity Center uses, adding a group housing use permit requirement for new housing for the elderly, clarifying the requirements for home occupations, and allowing general merchandise stores in the downtown commercial zoning district; Table 40-44-1 pertaining to the clarification of the minimum lot size for tripleXes'and other apartment buildings in RM=75 and RM-60 zoning districts; Table 40-44-2 pertaining to the setback of houses on corner;lots; Article IV Historical Districts pertaining to completion of certificate work; Section 40-193 pertaining to the powers and duties of the Board of Zoning Appeals. Motion by Mr. Epperson, and seconded by Mr. Griffin, to concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that CA-94-01 be approved on first reading and was approved by a vote of 6-0 (Mr. Clemons was absent at time of vote). e) CA-94-02 CITY CODE AMENDMENT - Request of the City Planning Commission to amend Sections 33-32 and 33-57 of the Subdivision Ordinance pertaining to required sidewalk improvements and recordation of plats. Motion by Mr. King, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that CA-94-02 be approved on first reading, and was approved by a vote of 6-0 (Mr. ~emons was abs.ent a~ tide-of '~ote). f) CA-94-05 CITY CODE AMENDMENT - Request of the City Planning Commission to amend the Wetlands Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 39, relating to references to the Virginia State Code in the ordinance. Motion by Mr. King, and seconded by Mr. Clemons, to concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that CA-94-05 be approved on first reading, and was approved by unanimous vote. g) CA-94-06 CITY CODE AMENDMENT - Request of the City Planning Commission to amend the following sections and tables of the City Code: Section 40-43.4 pertaining to clarifying the requirements for home occupations; Table 40-61.1-2 pertaining to changeable copy signs; and Article XIV Division 2 pertaining to administration and interpretation. Motion by Mr. King, and seconded by Mr. Epperson, to concur with the recommendation of the Planning Commission that CA-94-06 be approved on first reading, and was approved by unanimous vote.
