March 29, 2004 <br /> <br />577 <br /> <br /> · Funding for a new police: Station. $18 million in FY 08 for a new police Station <br /> to centrally locate the Police Headquarters. <br /> · Funding for a new Court Complex -- $16 million in FY 05 for a new Court <br /> ComPlex. <br /> · Funding for continued Neighborhood Improvements. Continued funding of <br /> $800,000 a year for various neighborhood improvement projects. <br /> · Funding for ongoing Public Utilities Improvements. $5.3 million for the <br /> ongoing maintenance and renovation projects, fully funded through Public Utility <br /> Revenue Bonds. <br /> · Funding for ongoing Stormwater System Improvements -- $1.5 million for <br /> Stormwater system improvements, fully funded through the stormwater rate. <br /> <br /> These projects are just an example of many of the exciting projects that are planned <br />for the five-year plan; These projects represent the commitment to the future of the <br />infrastructure and public services, as do the '15 projects that will be completed in FY 04. <br /> <br />FINAL THOUGHT <br /> <br /> As you can see, thero aro many positive and exciting activities that are occurring in <br />the upcoming year and beyond. It is with an eye toward the future that I present to you <br />the FY 2004-05 Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program. The challenges <br />faced in putting this budget together required tough choices and clear leadership, while <br />continuing to lay the foundation for the successes of tomorrow.
