Gentlemen:--Your Public Property Committee respectfully Property Committee 0otober reports herein concerning the several ~tters referred to the Joint P~b!io 8th and 15th, as follows: Referred DY Common Council October 8th. To see if a rOOm can be found in which to store supplies of the Sanitary Inspector. We report %hat there is no suitable room for the purpose owned by the City except the o~cupied by the Sanitary Inspector at'this time: but if the 0ounoil desires to rent such a room, would,suggest that the 0ommittee ~be authorized to advertise for same. Referred by Board of Aldermen October 15th. one we Re-referred for further consideration-bids received to supplythe public buildings with ooai~ ~e have reconsidered carefully our former ,eoommendation as tosaid bids, and e~n find no good reason for a change of views concerning the same. We have acted in this matter in the interest of the gity, as it was our privilege mhd ri~t to do: and, therefore, stand'by the previous recom- mendation, viz., to make award for furnishing the public buildings with coal to So P. 0asr. To ascertain the cost of erecting a storage room for guns of Grimes Battery. A plain brick building would cost approximately ~2,150; one of frame construction, weather- inside, $t~800; onemof frame construction, as above, with g~l~an- boarded with sides and ends ceiied ized iron covering, $1,7~.00.
