Reports of the Auditor and Treasurer for month of Se-ore,ocr. ~ne Clerk says that he has examined these reports and fotuud them to be correct. It is recommended that the ~ity Attorney be instructed to draft m bill for presentation to the next Legislature for ~uthority to issue $30,000 of School, $110,000 of Sewerage and $30,000 P~ving mhd or. Street Improvement, bonds. These bonds to run For thirty (30) ~ears and to bea~ not mo~e th~n Five (5)per cent. interest, payable semi-ar~ually. Refe~ed by Common Council August 13th. (Re-referred). A petition of the Norfolk & Portsmouth Traction Comp~n~~ to substitute one bond for the two held by the City For faithful performance of contract by lessees of the Ferries Progress as tO same. We report Further that we have received the delinquent tmx lists, compiled mnd arranged by ~. James Parrish, turned them~over to the City Collector, ~nd directed the Auditor to charge them to the Collector. ~e present herewith a bill of Z~r. Parrish of $5 for ststionery, &c., used in cor~.ection with his compilation of the delinquent tmx lists. (Si~ed) Jno. H, Hall~ Ch~irm~n, Co C. Mr. Withy objected to consideration of the recommendation in regard to ~ police telephone sys- tem because, as he said, he v~s not consulted as m me~oer of the Police Com~ittee eonoernir~ the ~t- ter nor had he been noti£ied of ~ meetimg of the Co~mittee for considerir~ it. Ehe~eupon, ~r. Joh~a H. Hall remarked t~at blue objection m~de by M~. Withy was pertinent, ~nd he moved, therefore, that the recommendation be sent back to the Fir~nce and Police committee for fur- ~her consideration. ~ne motion was adopted.
