On motion~ the decree was o~de~ed ~o tmke the usual eourse~ January l%th and 21s~ the City Attorney presented s bill fo~ ~uthorizing the bonds, in order to take omre of the territory in Norfolk eo'~uty which it is City, and the said bill, having been read, was adopted by the following vote: A communication wss read from Cspt~in Har~y A. of o. gu~s of tbs Bri~kiey in regard to the housing * ~~ Grimes Battery; and the said communication ~s ordered to file. The Board of Health requested that the balance of the ~500 for rur~aing a sewer main on the north end of Dinwiddie street be appropriated for running a sewer m~in on either Bart, Vgythe or Harrison street. It mlso called attention to %he fset that the ~he~lth ordinane*es~ had not yet been prepare~ and requested that they might be ready by next spring. -On motions, the request of the Board in regard to the balance of %he $500 was ~eferred to the Joint Ninanee Committee, and that as to the ordinanees~ to the Joint 0rdinsnce Co~mitte9. A request of the Park View Pire Comp~rJ to have confirmed their election of C. E. Spenee ms ~ag- on,n, was referred to the Joint ~ire Committee. The Clerk gave notice that the successful bidders to supply 700 tons of eoa!,and ~*&~h provisions for the Almshouse:hsd not yet executed bonds for the sameas required of them to do; and the matter was ~eferred to the Joint Fir~nee 0o_~mmittee. The Treasurer requested an adoption of the foiiowir~ resolution: Resolved, That tke T~essu~er be and he is hereby authorized to m~ke notes in the several City banks to[amount of ten thousand five hundred .(~lD:5oo) dollars, to meet current expenses for month of March: 1908; and the said notes to said ~mount ~re to be m~de upon the s~me terms and conditions ~s were proposed by the several banks and adopted by the City Council Janua. ry 5, 1904.
