Hawks called attention to the fact that no provision had been made for paying Fifth Ward sewerage bill as they occur, and moved that the Auditor be instructed to issue warrants for said bills when properly approved by the Joint Sewerage Committee. The motion was adopted. On motion of Nr. John HowardHall, the Joint Street Oommittee was requested to con'er with the Board of Health as to the best plan for the removal of garbage for the ~ture, and~for conveying garbage in suitable car%s for same. ~r. Johnson moved that a special committee be appointed to consider the lighting of the Ci~ty when the present contract for same shall have e~ired. The motion was adopted. -~ ~FLr. John Howard Hall calls attention to the charter provision for a sinking fund commission, explain~ the functions of said commission under the charter; and moved that it be instructed to organize for the proper management of the sinking fund. The motion was adopted.
