<br /> On motion, the resolution adopted by the Boar~ of Aldermen and Con, non Co~noil iug~st iSth and
<br />21st, in which request ~as made that the several oonnnittees, as then constituted, should act on the
<br />matters referred to them as if the Council were continuous, and that the Council after September ist
<br />
<br />should treat the reports of said committees in th~ ~sual maaner--was amopted.
<br /> Whereupon, the following committees reported~

<br /> Auditing~- P~eporte~ having examined bills against the. City for. the month of August, and they
<br />
<br />reoonmaended the same for payment to amount of $3,583.23.
<br />
<br /> On motion, the bills were~ allowed by the following vote:

<br /> In connection with the allowauoe of bills the Clerk presented a bill from the 0ity Attorney to
<br /> amount of $151.50 for printed matter, do., requ~re~ by the Court. of m~pP~als in au. appeal of the City
<br /> in the case of~ie E. Houseman vs. the City; and stated for the C%tyAttozaey t~at it ~s neces-
<br /> sary to allow this bill at once as the Court of Appeals was about ready to consider the case, but
<br /> would not take it up unless the ~ill had been previously ~aid.

<br /> Then the r~.les were suspended an~ the bill was allowed by the following vote:
