John Howard Hall sai~ he arose to a question of privilege, in that the School Board had, <br />without any reference te the Council therefor, contracted a debt of about $4,500 for the erection <br />of a school house, which amount in excess of appropriation for the purpose the Council is expected <br />te raise. He said he wished it te be distinctly under~tood that he is not opposed to liberal ap- <br />propriations for the schools, but, on the other hand,'high!y favored the sa~e; his objection was <br />to the manner in which this appropriation was sought to be obtained. <br /> <br /> The Chair announced that. with ~oncurrence of the President of the Board of Aldermen, a joint <br />session ef the two branches would be~ called for Tuesday, November <br />City officers, to be named in the "cmll.~ <br /> <br />remitted on her property at <br /> <br /> A recommendation of the Beard of Health. to have sewered Hunter's and Eastwood's <br />other streets and ends of streets net now sewered. <br /> <br />On motion, adjourned. <br /> <br />24th, for the election of certain <br /> <br /> Sewerage: <br /> <br />lanes and ~11 <br /> Auditor: <br /> <br />of Hat- <br /> <br />e!othing, <br /> <br /> <br />
