<br /> A bill of the Eureka'Fire Bose ~ompany for $~,000 for 1,000 feet of hose sold the Oity Febru-

<br /> A petition was read from the Oolored Young Men's 0hristian &ssoeiation for permission to use
<br /> the. Armory Hall on the evening of February 25th, to entertain the colored sailors of the fleet re-
<br /> turning from its voyage arou_nd the World.

<br /> On motion, the Olerk was instracted to notify the Association that Armory Hall is in charge
<br /> of the Oity military, and to ~uggest that application be made to the military for use of said Hall.
<br /> The chairman of the l~b!ie Property Committee asked for an appropriation of $60, out of the
<br /> regular, appropriation to the Public Proper~y Department, to put bars to windows, &e., to Grimes
<br /> Battery gun room.
<br />
<br /> On motion, the rules were suspended, and the appropriation was allowed.
<br /> On motion of Mr. Hawks, it was ordered that the attention of the
<br /> his oversight in not reporting to the ~ouncil on the matters referred to him January 12th, and to
<br /> request him to make report on Said matters at the mext regular meeting of the Council, without fail.
