<br />~.pervisOrs held on the twenty fourth day of February, A. D. nineteen hundred and nine, the motion
<br /> of said Council being approved by the Nayor of said city on the twenty-first day of February, nine-
<br /> teen hundred and nine, did agree amd determine to lease out the property owned Jointly by City of
<br /> Portsmouth and Norfolk Gounty, known as the Norfolk County Ferries, together with all the steamers,
<br /> boats, their apparel and appurtenances, and the wharves, docks, landings, buildings, and all other
<br /> property now owned by said city and cou~t~, and now used, or subject to be used, for the uses and
<br /> purposes of said Ferries, in accordance stth sections one thousand three hundred a~.d seventy-one
<br /> as amended by an. act of the General Assembly approved February 258, 1898, and one thousand three

<br />hundred and seventy-two of the Oode of Virginia,
