Gentlemen:--Your ~olice Committee respectful!~ re~orts herein concerning the f~llowing mattters refe~ed to the Joint PolEce 0ommittee October 12th and Bep. 14~h: Referred by 0ommon Oouncil October 12th. an appixcation of the Board of Police 0ommissioners for ~n'appropriation of $46.50 to 100 copies of the police rules ~nd regulations. tt is recommended that the application be gra~te~. print Referred by Oommon Council $~ptember t4t~. A request of the Board of-Pot~ce Commissioners ~o have the police force suppliedwith six (6) pistols, six (6) pai~s of improved h~ndeuffs, twenty-five (25) night sticks, and twelve (12) flash lights, at a cost of ~125.00. It is recommended that t~e request be gr~ut~d. And b~ the same. TO have the police force increased by two (2) Sergeants of Po!ice. That all o~ the r~port be adopted~ except 'the provision 'relating to the manner in which the recommended Police Sergeants are to be selected, and that the remainder of it be referred to the Joint Finance 0ommittee.
