February 27, 2001 <br /> <br /> Ata Called Meeting of the CitY Council on Tuesday, February 27, 2001, there <br />were present: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., *Cameron C. Pitts, P. Ward Robinett, Jr., *William E. <br />Moody, Jr., Charles B. Whitehurst, Sr., City Manager Daniel M. Stuck, City Attorney <br />Timothy Oksman. <br /> <br />01 - 64 - The folloWing call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City <br />Manager's Conference Room, 801 Crawford Street, 6th floor, 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, <br />February 27, 2001 for the purpose of a Public Work Session. <br /> <br />In addition, you may consider a motion to go into a Closed Meeting. <br /> <br />By Order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />01 - 65 - The following items were discussed in Public Work Session: <br /> <br />1. CAR Appeal - Monumental Methodist Church <br />2. CAR Appeal - 516 North Street <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to defer consideration of both <br />CAR appeals until March 27, 2001, and was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />3. Ci{y Hall Fa(;ade Replacement <br />4. Retreat Follow-up <br /> <br />01,66 ~ Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, to go into Closed Meeting <br />pursuant to proviSions of Section 2.1-344(A) of the Code of Virginia, to discuss or <br />consider the following: <br /> <br />employee personnel matters, as per subsection 1; and <br /> <br /> the acquisition or sale of real property for a public purpose; as per subsection <br />3. The subject property is located in the Churchland area of the City. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Whitehurst, and seconded by Mr. Moody, pursuant to Section <br />2.1-344.1(D) of the Code of Virginia, certifying that to the best of the Council Member's <br />knowledge during the immediately preceding Closed Meeting of the City Council: <br /> <br />1.
