<br />to go.over the list of assessments made this year by the S~ate Assessors a~d the deed books record-
<br />ing the conveyance of real estate for the last five years ~nd .report tom,id Qommittee each and ev-
<br />ery piece of rem1 estate the assessment of which i~ found to be less than forty five per cent. of
<br />the value of the property as ascertained from the said deed book~, and that ~he said committee di-
<br />rect th~ ~ommonwealth Attorney to petition the Honorable Judge cf the Ocurt of Hustings to increase
<br />the assessment of each such piece of real estate to a s~m equal to hot less than forty five per
<br />cent. of the value as given in the deed of bargain mud sale,
<br /> 'I believe such act~onwi~l materially help to equalize taxation in this city and increase its
<br />income not less than $5~000. per year.
