<br /> Arequest of the Seventh Ward Local Board that the City divide with the Ward the expense of lay-
<br />ing two E4~inch terra cotta pipes across Chestnut street, between Scott and Duke; and two of such
<br />pipes across Effingham street, between Scott and Duke.
<br /> ~ It is recommended that the City join the Ward in laying these pipes, at a cost of $000 each.
<br />
<br /> It is further recommended that the following amounts, allowed in the "budget~' for 1911, be ap-
<br />propriated: $400 for a storage room; $?00 for pavement of Dinwiddie street, north end; $$65 for pave-
<br />merit of North street, between Dinwiddie and Washington; $S,840 for pavemen~ of Water street, between
<br />Glasgow and North; $5~ for pavement on Effingham, east side, near High; $540 for pavement of Ran~
<br />dolph street, between Second and Third; $800 for pavement of West Park View streets; $?E0 for pave~
<br />ment of High street, south side, between Effingham and Chestnut; $5?5 to pave Third street, between
<br />Fayette and Henry.

<br /> It is further reco~ended that the City Engineer be allowed a horse ~d bug~y at a cost of
<br />per m~uth, and an extra rodman at $S.00 per day; the same to be paid for out of appropriation to sal-
<br />ary of the Street Inspector.

<br /> After some discussion, about the streets to be paved and the se%ting aside of a part of the sal-
<br />ary of the Street Inspector to be used for hire of a horse and buggy for use of the City ~ik~gineer
<br />and to pay for employment of a ro~ the emplos~ent ?f an engineer for streets in t~e Spve~th Ward;
<br />and a consulting engineer re_ streets %n the Sixth ~a.e, Er. ~yler remedied that ~. Wm. ~ar~er,
<br />smdent of the Seventh Ward, was present, and he would move that mhe .rules be suspended to hear from
<br />him concerning the empiop~ent of said engineer. The motion was adopted.
<br /> Mr. Parker spoke and urged the ~mmediate employment of an e~gineer for the purpose named, at a
<br />pay not to exceed $i,000.
<br /> 0n motion, the request of the Seventh Ward Board'was adopted, with the provision that the pay
<br /> of said engineer should not exceed $800, and by the following vote:

<br />sulting engineer for work to be done in the Sixth Ward, at a sala!~y of SE§ per month. The mormon w~S
