In accordance with recommendation of the Str~t Co~umittee adopted at this meeting to pay the re- gular street force for legal State holidays, the 0hai~m~n of the Committee moved that said force be paid for the Fourth of July, 1911, out of appropriation to the ~treet Department. Fne motion was adopted by the follow'lng vote: Lyes--~orbitt, Hall, Benson, Parrish, Hanvey, Brooks, EoGre, ~ohnson, Leigh, withy, Hawks. Hutchins. 12. The Chairman of. the Cemetery ~ommittee stated that there had been several small bills contracted by his Department, to amount of $50.53; that these bills were long standing, and ought to be paid; and as there w~s $60. to credit of the Cemetery fund left over from appropriation for whitewashing the Ce- metery walls, he would move~that said bills be paid. out of such fund, The motion was adopted. Mr. Hall called the attention of the 0ommi~tee on Claims to the necessity of its acting on the claim of Mrs. M. L. Dozier, hurt on Elm Avenue. On motion of Mr. Withy, the Street 0ommittee were requested to consider ~he advisability of con- tinuimg the paving of Fifth street to Jefferson, ~r. ~arker stated that the Traction 0ompany had paid no attentio~ to notice given it towards do- ing its share of pavi~ on 0ounty street, and he meved that the attention of the ~yor be called to · the fact, The motion was adopted.
