1909. <br /> <br /> On motion, the_ retort ef the Committee was adopted:.and the appropriation of $16,398.94 recom- <br />mended to erect a new building at %heAlmshouse was referred to the Joint Finance Committee. <br /> <br />Sewerage-- <br /> <br />Hon. Board of Aldermen. <br /> <br />Gentlemen:--Your Sewerage Committee respectfully reports as <br /> <br />to the following m~tter referred to the Joi~t Sewerage Committee by the 0ommon Cotmeil July 13th: <br /> A petition of Arthur C. Thompson and several others to have sewerage connections m~de with their <br /> <br />property on Hmmpton Place, between Dinwiddie and Washington streets. <br /> We have instruetedthe Oity Engineer to estimate the cost of mmking the sewerage connec- <br />tions and report the same to the Committee. <br /> <br />We report further that Brymn & Co~, contractors for Fifth Ward sewerage, have on hand twenty or <br />twenty-five tons of soft coal which they. will sell to the City fe~ $2.75 per ton; and as this 'charge <br />is less than the price we are pmying for soft coal at present, it is recommended that the said offer <br />of Brya~ & Co. be accepted. <br /> (Signed) W.
