A request of the Sixth Ward Local Board that the <br />trusted to look into a claim of Norman 0assell for a piece of land the .width <br />Rose street. Progress as to same. <br /> <br />City Attorney be ins- <br />of London street, on <br /> <br /> Advisability of having the paved streets swept on Saturday nights instead of before sun down on <br />such days. <br /> It is recommended that the following named streets be swept at night: <br /> High, from 0curt to Water; Middle, from High to South; Crawford, Trom King to South; King, from <br />0curt to Middle; 0ounty, from Niddle to Crawford; South, from Crawford to Middle, <br /> <br /> To have four barrels of night-soil carried to the crematory daily. Progress. <br /> <br /> To open a thoroughfare running north and south and one running east and west through Park View; <br />and to consider also the extension of E~tton street from Glasgow street to High, and Armstron street <br />to London. An appropriation to replace street crossings in the Fifth Ward. made <br />necessary to remove on account of la,ring sewer pipes there.. <br /> We have concurred with the Finance Committee in report on this matter. <br /> <br />Referred by 0ommon 0ouncil September 14th. <br /> <br />To have prepared an ordinance to regalate the removal of garbage from the streets. Progress. <br /> <br /> The 0ommittee further recommends that a contract be made with Huybert & Dunku~ for tt~e removal <br />of street sweepings for one year; that a ~suffieient bond be required of them for the work; an& that <br />.a penalty be imposed on them for failure to execute their contract promptly. <br /> <br /> That another street sweeper be purchased, as another one is needed to properly clean the paved <br />streets, and that $400. be appropriated for the purpose. <br /> <br /> That $~00. be appropriated for the purchase of 10,000 vitrified paving bricks, <br />needed at this time. <br /> (Signed) S.T. Montague stated that he had just received a note from the Chair- <br />man of the Committee in which request was made that the recommendation for a contract with Huybert <br />& Dunkum be held up for furth6r ~on~ideration; and therefore, he would move the adopt%on of the <br />port, except the recommendation j~st named, and that said recommendation be recommitted. <br /> The motion by,Lt.
