<br /> It is the opinion of the Com~ittee that sidewalks on the S~uth street road should be pav-
<br />ed, b~ut the expense of the same ought to be incurred by the seventh VFard, and we so recommend.

<br /> The Committee believe that the extension of Eattcn street to High isvery desirable, and
<br />it is recommended that they be authorized to employ an agent,~at an expen~e r~t to exceed~$a00, to
<br />look up the matter and. to ascertain the cost of a~quiring the land necessary for said e~ension.

<br /> To reconsider the parking of Effingham street.
<br /> Afterfurther examination of this matter, the Committee has concluded t~ abs~den the idea
<br />of parking Effingham street, and to pave the entire width of Effingh~m for the two blocks south of
<br />High; and for the three blocks north of E~gh, to pave ~0 feet of it en each side from the gu~ter,
<br />sad to lay a ~0 foot hard surface in the 5~ter between these two ~0 feet paved surfaces.
<br /> It is hoped that this change in pavi~ as regards ~fingham street will meet with the ap-
<br />proval of the council,

<br /> Your committee recommends the adoption of this res~lution~ e~cept that the words, ,all the
<br />men reg~ls~ly employed on the street force," be substituted for ei~at men in the same.
