We have considered this matter and reco~mend an adoption of the following therefor: AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE ISSUE OF O~ HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS (~100,000.00) OF COUPON OR REGISTERED BONDS TO BE KNON~ AS n PORTSEOUTH PAVING AND STHEET INPROVE}~NT BONDS," AND THIRTY-SE'fEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($37~500.00~ OF COUPON OR REGISTER~D· ~ BONDS TO BE KgO~ AS "SIXTH WARD ~NPROVENENT BONDS,~ AND THIRTY-SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDMED DOLLARS ($37~500.00) OF COUPON OR HEGIS- TERED BONDS TO BE KNOWN AS ~SEVENTH WARD I.~P~OVENENTNn BONDS~" PURSUANT TO AN ACT OF THE GENERAL SENBLY OF VIRGINIA ~ARCH 14, 1910~ ENTITLED, "AN ACT TO AUTHORIZ~ TL~ CODICIL OF TRE CITY OF PORTS- NOUTH TO ISSUE BONDS FOR GRADING~ PAVING, AND OTHER STREET IMPROVEmeNTS.n $150.00, or as much of the same as may be necessary, for s granolit~ic sidewalk in front of H. Goodman's store, at the corner of Effingham and King streets. It is recommended that $150.00, or as much of the same as may be necessary~ be appropri- ated for the purpose named, out of appropriation to ~Sidewalks~ to be provided for in the "budget" for 191~. $754.00 for laying a sidewalk on the south side of Randolph street, between First and Second. It is recommended that an appropriation of $~00.~0 ~ allowed for same in the "budget~ for 19i~. An appropriation to pave Glasgow street, from Godwin to the Scott Creek bridge. This matter has been referred also to the Street Comnittee by the Board of Aldermen, and hence we have no recommendation to make thereon. $19,000.00 to pave with Bithulithic, Washington street for ~ feet between curbs, from South to Harrison. ~e report as~above for paving Glasgow street. It is recommended ~hat an appropriation of $4?8°00 be allowed for same, out of appropria- tion for "Paving Anne street" to be provided for in the "budget" for 19lB. $1,410. B4 to pave with granolith, sidewalks on both sides of North street, between Pearl and Cooke, and to curb and gutter said street. It is recommended that an appropriation of $700.00 be allowed for same, to be provided for "Pavement North street" in the "budget~ for !91~. $~15.00 for three typewriters for the Clerk of the Court.
