The Committee are fioi~fully satisfied of the necessity for glass fronts in fire-alarm boxes, but as there seems to be an insistent pressure for same, we recommend that glass fronts be put in all fire-alarm boxes, at a cost of $8~.00; and that the Ordinance Committee be instructed to prepare an ordinance to prohibit the giving of false alarms of fire in any manner, and to provide a h~avy penal- ty fo~ violations of the ordinance.
